An unexpected error has occurred with Webparts

Fix: An unexpected error has occurred, Web Part Maintenance Page
 
If you are attempting to edit a list item in a web part and you receive this error:
 
An unexpected error has occurred.
 
Web Parts Maintenance Page:  If you have permission, you can use this page to temporarily close Web Parts or remove personal settings.  For more information, contact your site administrator.
 
Troubleshoot issues with Windows Sharepoint Services.
 
1st attempt is to delete the web part and re-add it.
 
If after deleting and re-adding the webpart you still recieve the unexpected error, follow these steps:
 
1.  Remote into the Sharepoint Server and browse to: 
C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\<port number> (this is usually port 80)
2.  Open up web.config file (using notepad).
3.  Find the node (use Edit, Find) that begins with <trust level=
4.  Change the trust level to WSS_Medium
5.  Save the web.config file.
6.  Go to command prompt (start -> run -> cmd -> iisreset /noforce)
 
*Note* If the trust level is already set to WSS_Medium, just run iisreset /noforce from the command prompt.
